Diy Ikea Makeup Vanity

I wanted to share my makeup vanity that my two best friends Derek and Judi got me for my birthday☺ The desk and storage unit is from ikea. I love it!!

Our Surprise Wedding

Many of you all know by now.. Jaycee and I got MARRIED. Not only did we just get married we actually bamboozled all our guest by having a Surprise wedding:) Many of you have asked how this “Surprise Wedding” came about and how we pulled it off so here’s our story.. It all started in early August 2010.. Jaycee came up with the idea of having a surprise wedding.. but to make it work we would have to keep it a secret from everyone even our parents.. we knew taking this chance could mean a lot of our friends and family might not attend but it was a risk we were willing to take to do something a little different. We liked the idea of just enjoying everyone’s company.. no presents, just your presence. but not to long after we realized we may need to tell a few people that are out of state so they have the option to attend and also a month before we told our bridal party so they can arrange their attire. the invitation were made out for a “Family Gathering” Jaycee also told everyone he was planning to propose to me basically to push everyone to go. Fortunately we found and rented out a hall with two buildings side by side so that we could have the ceremony in one and the reception in the other. We purposely made the start time for the party to be early so that our guest can arrive late..not knowing the time of ceremony we decided to have my best friend Derek Pardon be ordained to marry us. It worked out perfectly. We kept our wedding very traditional and simple.. just how I would like it. When our guests arrived the first thing they saw was a banner informing them all that they were actually attending our wedding and after a little wait.. the ceremony stated my lovely bridesmaids and flower girls in red and my handsome groomsmen in Barongs (Filipino Tuxedos) and the rest is history. Our wedding was perfect for us.. we had so much fun, it will truly be a day we will always remember. We really couldn’t have done it without the support from our family and friends. we are blessed with such wonderful people in our lives. it has really amazed us to see all the people that helped out along the way. we are forever grateful.. this is just our beginning :)

.diy makeup organizer.

for a while now ive been wanting to spice up my makeup area... i was so bored with my simple white drawer organizer.. i was even considering buying a new makeup organizer all together but after a lot of research i found a fabulous diy tip from bdazzlecolors's youtube channel so i wanted to share it with you all.

its pretty simple and looks adorable (even my boyfriend likes it lol)
here it is

all i did was go to the dollar section at my local michaels craft store.

mainly you'll need to purchase the file folders(the folders are pretty thick and will hold alot better then regular paper) they also have different designs to choose frm.
i also purchased magnets, a pen, lil tins, and ribbon that matched my file folders.. &dey wer sooo cheap&fun!

once you get the materials you need
its really up to you on how to decorate ur area heres wut i did

here i used my magnets and i also cut out a strip on my file folder and placed it to line the end of my hair products bin.

i have my 2 bins which i store my bobby pins and safety pins and my lipstick holder i made with the file folders...&& of course my cute pen:)

im not going to lie making this thing wasnt easy but it was so worth it.
i used Enkores video on how to organize lipsticks/glosses video.

i lined the bottom of my brush holder with my file folder.. i also bought this vase awhile back at michaels for about 3bucks and vase filling for 6bucks.. (but i used a 40% off coupon on my vase filling )

i measured and cut out the file folders to line the inside of my makeup organizer and i made lil labels for each drawer and used index tabs to stick them on each side... i dont have good handwriting so i bought these stickers but this is optional

i had a lot of fun making this earring holder. you'll need a frame, (i got mine at kohls & used a $10off coupon so it was about 5bucks) ribbon, and fence wire(its probably best to get it in smaller squares so ur earrings dont fall through like mine.. i got mine at home depot for about 2bucks) all i did was i took out the glass frm the frame and and stapled the wire to the frame and the ribbon on each end... such a space saver! i love it!
